Sick To My Stomach
Earlier this week, I went to Sushi King Alamanda for the obvious reason, to eat sushi. They were having a promotion. 1 plate for RM 2. So, of course most of the sushi lovers wouldn’t want to miss this chance. Im not the sushi lover. I just want to eat, thats all. Not that I’ll go crazy if I don’t eat sushi.
What made me sick to my stomach was, I ate not too much. I took 3 salmon, and some other that I didn’t even know the names, suddenly I felt like I want to puke. But, I didnt. Thank God.
There was this 1 fcuk up incident. Since, it was the promotion day, we were allowed only 30 minutes to eat all the sushi we want. WTF?? Ok, we got in. Sit at the table. And took what we wanted. There was this 1 particular sushi we really wanted to eat, and this was the main purpose in the 1st place why we came here. So, that particular sushi was on the tray and we all got like another 10 minutes before our 30 minutes ended. So, waiting the sushi to be put onto the plate was like waiting to get checked at the public hospital. And then, the 30 minutes ended, but we were lucky because 1 of the worker gave us another 5 minutes. So, 1 of my friends said to the person whose putting the sushi onto the plate, to quickly put because the manager ‘halau’ us already.
That guy shocked, and told his friend about us ‘kene halau’. By this time, it was already 15 minutes past of our 30 minutes. One of my friend said, he heard that the manager shouting at us, asking his worker to chase us out. FCUK. And, at last, we got what we wanted. Right after finishing that sushi, we paid and went out, cursing the manager. Stupid fcuking guy. I dont care. FCUK YOU YOU FCUKING BASTARD..
Em’s Back
Guess who’s back..
Back again.
Shady’s back,
Tell all friends..
Owh, yeah..This white rapper’s back. It’s been a while since his last album. Now he’s back with a catchy tune. Album’s name is Relapse. Well, this is the second single I think. There was the 1st single from his album. The song is called Crack A Bottle.
This second single is called We Made You. Check it out. Enjoy.
Writer’s Block
Hooweeehooo… Damn, I reach this point, writer’s block. This is the point where I couldn’t write any post. Damn, I hate this. Why it is so hard to keep the ideas flow like the rain where there is nothing stopping it to pour other than divine intervention. Huhu, I am trying my best to post about anything that I think relevant to be posted here. I have a bunch of drafts but, I couldn’t finish them off. Huhu. Well, to even finish this post took me several day. Damn. I started this post 1st April, but only now I can finish and post it here in my blog.
Damn, I wonder how other bloggers who have like hundreds post, deal with the writer’s block. Or, they haven’t had this shit yet because, well If you have hundreds posts, that means you don’t have this problem at all. If you know what I mean.
Anyway, that’s it for now. I am currently working on a post about last 3rd April. As for this post, it is intended to tell whoever reading my blog, that I’m currently in the state of writer’s block. That’s why I haven’t updated anything, other than this post. So, till next time…
A Piece of Mind
I’ve been told, not to limit myself in whatever I do for the good benefits. Yes, I now realized it. Opportunities are everywhere. It is just up to us to see beyond boundaries, and grab those chances. Somehow, people less care about bigger opportunities because they think what have they earned, is enough for them.
Well, maybe they are OK with that, but why limiting yourself if a bigger opportunity waiting for you to grab. All I have to do now is, to put a lot of efforts to grab that opportunities, at the same time pray for Allah SWT’s helps and guidance. I also need to redefine myself. If I really want this, I need to do a lot of sacrifices, pray to Allah, limitless efforts so that I will reach and touch the sky.
And I know, sometimes shits happen the way we don’t want it to be. Thus, it leads us to make a sharp turning whenever necessary. Due to the fact that the future is unpredictable, we will not know where we will end up. Be it good or bad. It’s unpredictable. What we can do is work on it they way it should be worked and hope it will turn out the way we want it to be.
We must not be over excited to achieve something that is still blur, because it might sometimes be taken away just like a piece of paper from a notepad. It sucks of course, when we are really working on it and suddenly it is taken away just like that.. Yeah. It happened, and I am still cannot get over it. But, of course before this all started, I’ve told myself and took some shits into considerations, and so that when this happen I wouldn’t be so down under, or hit rock bottom. And, yes of course, shits happened.
I don’t want to blame anyone. Since I’ve taken some precautions, so it’s kinda relieves my tension. Now all I need is a rebound. Maybe, I should find some other alternatives. God, help me..
No Internet and 24hr on Star.
Damn, last couple of days, my phone line down for unforeseen reason. Stupid, suddenly there was no line, so same with the internet. No phone line, no internet. Damn it. But, it’s ok now. Thank God. Anyway, I stumbled upon this article about the 24hr Theatre Project.
Saturday March 21, 2009
24-Hour Theatre continues to draw the talentsAS part of its efforts to further boost the local stage performance scene, Masakini Theatre Company successfully pulled off its 24-Hour Theatre Challenge for the second year.
Some 75 participants were at Istana Budaya on March 14 to meet the challenge with determination and aspiration.
Scene from Menara Panjang Umur. 24hr Theatre Project
Enchanting: A scene from Menara Panjang Umur.Seven teams were formed with seven directors calling the shots and they began to get their 10-minute sketches ready to be performed onstage in front of a full audience the next day.
To complicate the challenge, each team was also given a series of essential props that had to be used and the script would also have to revolve around the props randomly assigned to each team.
The performances were a mixed bag of styles and languages with everything from self-indulgent drama to over-the-top comedy, with English and Malay used as the languages.
Prominent personalities Mano Maniam, Fawziah Nawi, ST Bala, Zafri Husin and Khalijah Mohamed were roped in to rate the performances while Chris Jacobs was the resident technical director for the project.
Among the awards given out were the Teh Tarik award for the longest pause in a play in the history of Malaysian theatre, the most pretentious play, Hang Tuah award for bravery, Marigold Award/BTA Award for the most wretched performance. The best play, director, playwright and actors also received prizes.
The play that stood out was Tongkat Ali written by Azelea Bakri and directed by Low Weiyan. Tongkat Ali won 4 awards for Best Actress, Best Ensemble, Amitabh Bachchan Award – for best use of the given prop in a play, and the Audience Choice or Golden Award.
This is the second win for Azealea who also wrote the sketch Whose Shoe? that won the most awards at last year’s 24-Hour Theatre Project.
The Best Actor award went to Eric Chan Sai Hoe for Just a handful of rice while the best script was Uzair Ibrahim Lu’s Menara Panjang Umur.
The Best Director award was won Nicole-Ann Thomas for Menara Panjang Umur.
While waiting for the judges to tally the scores, the audience was taken by surprise as Jit Murad made his entrance for a 15-minute stand-up skit.
The challenge came to a close with a celebration supper at 11pm. 24-Hour Theater producer and Masakini Theatre owner Sabera Shaik, confirmed that the project would be an annual challenge and hopes that next year will be even more thrilling.

Ok, the 1st statement that I bolded, my group Tongkat Ali did won 4 awards, but the 4th award was neither Audience Choice nor Golden Award if I’m not mistaken. I forgot the award’s name. The prize for the award was something like a big round glass, which is kept by Harris if I am not mistaken. Well, correct me if I am wrong.
The 2nd statement I bolded is my friend’s name. Uzair, which is known to us as Jay.. Woohoo.. Dude, you should be proud though. Your name was in the news. Damn lucky.. Hehe.
Anyway, I am recovering from my injury. Lol.. Heh. Yeah, my right knee is healing, but I can still feel a slight pain. Sometimes, I could feel like it’s waiting for a right time to break into 2. Damn. If that happens, I’ll probably be needing the TONGKAT ALI. Lol.
Theatre Class Finale
Ok, yesterday was the final class for Theatre. I couldn’t participate in the physical workout, because my right knee hurts if I try to stand straight. Damn..
Nothing much happened, accept there was this guy performed 3 scenes, to make up the 60% coursework mark because he didn’t participate in the 24hr Theatre Project, last weekend. And then, Mr Mano gave feedbacks on our performance in the 24hr theatre project. He said that all of us actually good. He didn’t say much about my performance. He commented on how well my 24hr theatre group used the prop given.
He also suggested that we do our 24hr theatre project, right here in MMU. I think that’s a good idea. But maybe I just become the committee or something. Not gonna involve in the acting or anything.
Before the class finish, Mr Mano gave a hell lot of useful advices for all of us, not about the theatre but about our future, how to face a challenging future, the recession’s graph which is currently the L shape, how we as a future leaders should work out the best solutions for a better future. I found it very enlightening.
After the class finished, we had a photograph session. Vishnu snapped several photos. Dude, where is my photo with Mr Mano?? hehe.. Send me all the pics ya… There were a lot pictures taken, but the picture I love the most is below. Check it out..

From left back row: Me, Ariff and Vishnu. From left front row: Lan, Farid and Jay.
All of us, have been through a lot since we were in Melaka 2-3 years ago. And now, all of us, are still together. Did theater together. Hang out together. Damn it was all nice, and hope this won’t change for at least until we all graduate together. Arghh. Damn Fadzli, WTF? What’s with the feeling?? Stop being emotional. DAMN IT.. Haha..Damn that was gay..
Well, anyway, we all had a good time doing theatre and most of us, if given a chance want to do it again for the next 24hr theatre project. Wish you all the best and good luck..( Damn, so copycat punye line la, haha. Like we will never see each other again.)….
The 24hr Theatre Project (The Long Epilogue)
As my previous post stated about the project, at last. I had a good time for the last Saturday and Sunday
( 14th-15th March 09 ) at Istana Budaya. It was a breathtaking experiences, from the beginning of the audition, then come the selection process, where the writers and the directors got paired, actors/actress got paired with the directors and the writers, and create story based on the prop given by the production, take time to brainstorm ideas, which definitely I was so clueless, discuss the characters and come up with a solid storyline.
I had a chance to be in a group of 8, that each one of them has a special talent, and nearly all of them are in the errr, how to say ar, let say in the performing business or have something to do with public relation. So, working with them were easy because of different background like active in theatre, as a dj, as a journalist, fashion producer and short film producer. Harris, one of the group members, used to audition for One In A Million if I am not mistaken. and he did some kind of advertisement also. Well Harris, if you are reading this, correct me if I am wrong. Heh
I was so nervous, since this was the 1st time I actually performed in front of the public, large audience, but wait, err not really the 1st time, but that was long time ago and didn’t consist of conversation. Ok2, back to the topic. Damn nervous till I almost swallowed all my lines. Damn, but then, my group members continuously being supportive, that, had made me chilled down a lil’ bit.
So, our story based on a cane, a tongkat.. Yeah. That was the prop given to our group. So, the title of the play is TONGKAT ALI. The story is about, a family, a mother (NEETA) and her 2 sons (RAHMAN and SAIFUL), at the graveyard, attending funeral of the father (ALI). And, a lawyer (TERESA) representing the father is there to read his will. To make it worst, a woman (NICOLE), suddenly appears and claiming that she was Ali’s girlfriend, and want to know what Ali left for us and for her. Also there is Ali’s best friend (NAJIB) wants to know what Ali left for him too. When the will is being read, to their surprise, it is a tongkat. The story continues with each one of them telling what it is so special about the tongkat, that made Ali wanted them to have it. Everybody tells a different story. Arguing about who is actually deserves the tongkat.
The climax is, when the wife and the girlfriend fighting for the tongkat, and the tongkat brakes into 2 separate pieces. Suddenly, Rahman the son, got angry and stop the fight, telling them that the father left the tongkat because he wanted the family to live happily with each other even he has passed away. Then, everyone realized it and Saiful takes the tongkat and put it on the grave. And all of them, holding each other, decided to end the argument and go back home. Then, the real truth about the tongkat revealed, showing Ali come out of nowhere and fix the broken cane, saying Divided they are nothing, United they are strong. And then, he tells the real truth about the tongkat, which is used by him every Friday’s night as a part of his performance at some Broadway or musical something. He dances to the music and then finish.
After the end of all the theatre performance, Jit Murad, the local artist, did the stand up comedy for the audience. This was the 1st time I saw live in Malaysia, the stand up comedy being performed in front of the audience.
Below are the pictures. There are lots more pictures, but I think this will do.

from left: Mama Bella, Kamil, Harris, Danny, Me, Grace. This was before the performance.
Above are the actors and actress. I did snap the director’s and the writer’s pictures, but I didn’t have a good angle of their poses. Sorry2.

Prizes
Heh. Anyway, we all had a good time and a lot of fun doing this play. Not to forget, the crazy ‘teka-teki session’ saturday’s nite. LOL. But, too bad cause the director and the writer, had to go back early and couldn’t join the rest of us. That session had really break the ice between all of us.
Our group won the award for Best Ensemble, Best Usage of Prop and Mama Bella won Best Actress. Also, congratulation to Jay, my friend on winning the Best Writer, and also his director won the Best Director, and Jay’s group also won the Audience Choice award.
Here, I wanna thank the Director Low Weiyan for directing this play perfectly, the writer Azelea Bakrie for writing such a good story, mama Bella for constantly giving out advices, Bro Dani for sharing experiences, Grace for helping me with my voice and giving out advices, Harris for being friendly and giving out advices and Kamil for being cool and selamba. Also, I wanna thank Mr Mano Maniam for being the best instructor for my theatre class.
All and all, it was a damn good experience for me, especially. Hope to see you guys again in the near future.. C-ya.
